A20 Pro Chip Built on 2nm Technology

The iPhone 18 Pro series is powered by Apple’s new A20 Pro chip, built using a 2-nanometer manufacturing process.

Apple says the chip features a 6-core CPU, 7-core GPU with Neural Accelerators and a Dual 16-core Neural Engine. The architecture is designed to handle demanding workloads, including on-device AI processing, computational photography and graphics-intensive applications.

The A20 Pro also includes hardware-accelerated ray tracing and increased memory bandwidth compared with the previous generation.

Triple 48MP Camera System

One of the major upgrades on the iPhone 18 Pro series is its camera system.

Both models feature three 48MP Fusion rear cameras: a main camera, an ultra-wide camera and a telephoto camera.

The 48MP Fusion Main camera introduces variable aperture, allowing the aperture to adjust according to lighting and depth-of-field requirements.

The main camera supports four aperture settings: ƒ/1.48, ƒ/1.8, ƒ/2.8 and ƒ/4.0. Apple says the wider ƒ/1.48 aperture can improve low-light performance, while narrower apertures can provide greater depth of field.

The telephoto camera also supports up to 8x optical-quality zoom, while the system offers up to 40x digital zoom.

6.3-Inch and 6.9-Inch Displays

The iPhone 18 Pro features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max comes with a larger 6.9-inch display.

Both models support Apple’s ProMotion technology with adaptive refresh rates of up to 120Hz, along with an Always-On display.

Up to 45 Hours of Video Playback

Apple has also increased battery endurance on the Pro models.

The iPhone 18 Pro offers up to 36 hours of video playback, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max can provide up to 45 hours of video playback, according to Apple’s specifications.

Apple also says the iPhone 18 Pro Max can provide up to six additional hours of video playback compared with the previous-generation iPhone 17 Pro Max.

iOS 27 and Four Color Options

The iPhone 18 Pro series runs on iOS 27 and is available in four color options:

• Black
• Silver
• Glacier
• Burgundy

Apple’s official specifications list storage options of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB for the iPhone 18 Pro series.
